Personal video phones are starting to make their debut in the market today. There are several great video phone offerings available. If you are interested in purchasing a personal video phone, but are not interested in the high price tag, you need to check out the Ojo video phone. The Ojo PVP-900 model is a great place to start your search because it offers both high quality voice and video without a lot of unnecessary extras.

The PVP-900, also known as the Ojo Shadow has an MSRP of $399.99, but can currently be purchased on their website for $299.99. This phone makes a great choice for someone interested in a basic video phone model because the picture quality is great, it is simple and easy to use, works using your existing high-speed Internet connection, and can be used with your existing telephone number.

Even though the Shadow is a base model video phone, it comes complete with the latest video compression technology ensuring that the picture quality is smooth and clear, without any skipping or delay. The phone also comes with a video display screen and camera, duplex speakerphone, photo caller ID, and easy to input privacy controls.

A video phone is a great way to talk face to face with friends and family who live far away. You do have to pay a monthly fee for the service, but it is relatively inexpensive at $14.95 per month for unlimited video calling. Setting up the service is very simple to do. Once you get your phone, you need only connect it to your router, power it up, and call the Ojo service number to have your video phone activated. It's that simple.

The Ojo personal video phone also comes in a cordless version; it's called the Ojo PVP-1000. This phone is a little bit more expensive then the Ojo Shadow, with a $499.99 MSRP, but Ojo is selling them now for $399.99. The cordless version allows you to carry the handset to other locations in your home instead of having to speak in one location.

The Ojo brand of video phones are designed, manufactured, and sold by WorldGate Communications, Inc., a company founded in 1995 with the mission to be the world leader in personal video phone technology.
